Since its beginning in March 2022, the Indiana Digital Library (IDL) consortium has served 211,778 unique users with 10.754 million checkouts. As of the end of 2023, IDL offers 262,203 unique titles and 725,482 individual copies. This cooperative sharing environment offers a level of patron service that would not have been otherwise possible for our 200+ member libraries. The popularity of our members’ electronic collections has surged, with a 25% growth in unique users and a 35% growth in circulation in IDL’s second year.
Public libraries in Indiana with a legal service area population under 150,000 are eligible to join the Indiana Digital Library. If you’re a library interested in enrolling, please email IDL@library.in.gov.
We encourage all participating libraries to join the mailing list at https://lists.library.in.gov/mailman/listinfo/indiana_digital_library.

Your Collection Management Team
The Collection Management Team (CMT) is a group of volunteers that manages the IDL collection. The primary goal of the collection management team is to solve problematic or complex circulation issues. Any excess funds are also used to help purchase high-demand content. The collection management team is also available to help orient new members, provide training, and recommend collection practices.
